Never released outside of Japan, Fuji_jukai.mov is an eerie found footage horror movie from filmmaker Katsumi Sakashita. The story follows Ami, a high school student who travels to the Jukai forest to take her own life. But when students Mi-tan and Hinata interrupt Ami’s plans, an even darker side of the forest is revealed. The first J-horror feature to be filmed entirely on an iPhone, Fuji_jukai.mov combines true crime chills with ambitious unfiction to build an unsettling experience that’s a true discovery for found footage archeologists.
